2011-2012 Student Body President, Selin Acar

Message from the Student Body President:

I want to first welcome everyone back to Missouri S&T for yet another exciting fall semester.  I hope everyone had a great summer and is set and ready to go.  With that out of the way, I would like everyone to know Student Council is working hard to better the S&T campus and make it a university full of opportunities for the student body.  We will be working hard to let the voices of the students be heard. 

• Pass a reasonable Student Activity Fee for the 2011-2012 school year
• Keep students informed on tuition increases for the upcoming year
• Work on passing a dead week policy
• Work with student organizations to help them succeed

With this said, I would like to challenge you to get involved.  Find something you are passionate about and take up the challenge of getting it done.  I would also like to remind you that Student Council is here for you!   Oh, and have a great year!
